Hey Friends, I love this new gadget from the WordPress Team.
A slide show bugaboo! (I have no idea what to call it…haha!)
These are pictures from the last five-ish gigs I’ve done. Please enjoy!
p.s. After watching this I’ve been informed by my significant other that I could use a wardrobe change-up. Okaaaaaayy. I will try. =D
p.p.s. Have you ever noticed the amount of slideshow-ness at weddings? geez.
Here we are, a week out from releasing the first Rhythm & Waves album! So far so good and all systems go. I repeat, we have a GO for liftoff! (I’ve always wanted to be an astronaut, I really just play music for the money…)
Just kidding. Since I last posted we have sent in the master cd and finalized the album artwork thanks to the good Lord, caffeine, and some very late nights working with Jessica long distance over Skype. If you haven’t tried working on something very important with your significant other while you are thousands of miles apart, you should try it. Very humbling, hard, and eye opening. But through our amazing teamwork the art is B A Youtiful. I can’t wait for you guys to see it!
Oh and the music sounds pretty good too. =) I found out you have to work your okole off to get an album ready for duplication. Especially when you are working with an insane deadline! I know I’m still a babe in the woods when it comes to production but wow, kudos to every recording engineer, mastering dude, and coffee carrying intern out there. Here are some cool pictures of final production stuff.
Getting all my t's crossed and i's dotted.
Listening for small things that make big trouble.
Notes from an artwork brainstorming session with Jessica.
It’s always fun to look at the mess you’ve made when you finish something. My mess is usually in the form of piles and piles of notes!
Ok, the release date is still set for March 1st so keep checking back here for information on how to get a copy of the album.
You can also become a fan on Facebook if you’re not a blog person and I will update you there. If you are a blog person, you can now subscribe to this blog by putting your email address in the space underneath the “Subscribe to R&W” at the bottom of the right hand column. No spam, just automatic notifications when I publish a new post. nice!
p.s. Thanks for all the good responses to my question in the last post. It was fun reading all the different ways you buy music!

I realized since I am off Facebook forever I should show some pictures to share whats going on. (just to keep my many mothers and aunties happy!)
My parents are on the mainland in Colorado Springs and I am living with my friends, the Nations, at their house on Kalaheo Avenue. They are wonderful, generous people who agreed to put up with me till October!
This is the dining room/living area of the house.
Here is my 80 lb ball of fun roommate! His name is Murphy. (just before he expressed his desire to eat my macbook)
For transportation these days I have a sweet 2000 Chrysler Voyager. Oh mama! What an automobile!
I know. It’s actually pretty lame. But to boost my self esteem in this area I call it the Man Van ™ and make loud vrooming noises when I go to Safeway. =) It works okay?
So that’s my living situation in a nutshell. As for everything else, I’m still leading worship at the Chapel on Kane’ohe Marine Base. I will finish my time there in October, move to Colorado Springs to live with my parents for the holiday season, and then be off to Florida in January. (more about that in a later post)
Life is good right now. Jessica and I are immensely enjoying the time God has given us to be together as we are looking at a separation of two years starting in 2010. It’s not something we are looking forward to at all but we both see it as necessary to where God is leading us together. So please pray for us, as I said, right now we are simply enjoying every minute we have to spend together and loving each more and more! =) Here is picture for mom!
What a good looking couple! =P Here’s another one, my favorite of Jessica at the moment…
She’s a keeper. =)
Anyhow, last but not least in torrent of visual information pertaining to my life, is the fact that my dear brother David is engaged to my dear soon-to-be sister Janelle! And there was much rejoicing. Congratulations to both of them!
Okay, I’m outta here! Have a great day wherever you are!
